While making this piece I was interested in the conversation of what it meant to be an anomaly in the public space. I was interested in what it means to be completely blatant and rebellious in an almost deprecating assertion of self and desire. I had started making work about objects, which people take for granted, but which have a specific role in the public space, like the over used Rs 10 coin. The idea is to re-make objects that are so common that they are often essential but feel invisible in the public space. In its remake I wanted to draw attention to the object by subverting their function and in the process allowing it to disrupt and question the regulations of the public space.
